About Chakma District Congress Committee

Chakma District Congress Committee (CDCC) is dedicated to the all round development of Chakma Autonomous District Council and welfare of the people. Established by our dedicated and visionary leaders back in 1980, Chakma District Congress Committee (CDCC) has grown into an impactful Political Movement. The Congress party has governed the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) for several decades and has given stable administration and leadership to the people of CADC.
The Chakma District Congress Committee (CDCC) believes in an inclusive and prosperous Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) that does not discriminate on the basis of religion, gender, caste, class, race, ethnicity, language, region or creed. The same principles that the founders of our country envisaged for this great nation, that helped us unite as a people and throw off the yoke of oppressive imperialism. Our vision, membership, work environment, activities, mission and career growth prospects are all, a reflection of these very same high ideals.

INCLUSIVE GROWTH
"The economic issues are most vital for us and it is of the highest importance that we should fight our biggest enemies – Poverty, unemployment. --- Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.
ELIMINATE POVERTY & SUFFERING
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him. Will he gain anything by it? Will it restore him to a control over his own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to swaraj for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and yourself melt away."
--- Mahatma Gandhi
