To my dear brothers and sisters of the Chakma Autonomous District Council,
On this auspicious occasion of the 54th CADC Day, I, on behalf of the Chakma District Congress Committee (CDCC), extend my warm greetings and heartfelt wishes to each one of you. This day is not merely a date on the calendar—it stands as a symbol of our resilience, our rich culture and traditions, and our shared journey as a community.
On this significant day, we bow our heads in deep gratitude to B. R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. His visionary leadership ensured the protection of the rights and dignity of micro-minority communities like the Chakmas and many others. It is through his foresight that we continue to enjoy our democratic rights and preserve our strong bond with this land.
We also remember with great respect the then Government of India under the transformative leadership of Smt. Indira Gandhi, whose commitment and determination helped turn our aspirations into reality, granting us a homeland we proudly call our own.
On this day, we pay our sincere tribute to our legendary heroes like Kristo Mohan Chakma, Hari Kristo Chakma, Satyo Priyo Dewan, Baneshwar Chakma and many unsung heroes, both within and beyond CADC. Their tireless struggles, sacrifices, and vision laid the foundation for the peace and dignity we experience today. Their legacy continues to inspire and guide us.
As we celebrate this important day, let us renew our commitment to unity, safeguard our heritage and traditions, and work together for the continued progress and prosperity of our people.
Wishing everyone a blissful 54th CADC Day
Warm regards,
(RAMANI CHAKMA)
President
