KAMALANAGAR, MIZORAM — April 5, 2026 – The Chakma District Congress Committee (CDCC) is preparing for a high-level visit from Dangu Nihar Kanti Chakma, Former Minister and General Secretary of the Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), scheduled for tomorrow, April 6, 2026.

The visit follows a formal mandate issued by the MPCC Campaign Committee (Order No. MCC 10/2026/13), dated April 1, 2026. The state leadership in Aizawl has officially tasked the General Secretary with conducting an organizational assessment to "ascertain the situation and status" of the CDCC leadership during the first week of April. This move is seen as a strategic effort to consolidate party ranks and strengthen the Congress's grassroots presence within the district.
Bijok Chakma, General Secretary of the CDCC i/c GAD, has issued an urgent directive to all party cadres and frontal organizations to mobilize in full strength for the reception.
"The arrival of Dangu Nihar Kanti Chakma, acting on a direct order from the MPCC Campaign Committee, underscores the vital importance of our Chakma District Council region in the state’s political landscape," said Bijok Chakma. "We expect every dedicated party worker to be present to demonstrate our unwavering unity and preparedness."
