Kamalanagar, Mizoram: In the meeting with CM Zoramthanga on 25th June, 2021, Mr. Durjya Dhan Chakma, CEM, CADC stated “The poor maintenance of Kamalanagar Town road is due to the lack of maintenance by the Executive Committee of the predecessor Congress ruled Government.”
“The Chakma District Congress Committee (CDCC) slams the ruling MNF Government of CADC for their false allegation on the previous Congress Government”, said Ramani Chakma, President, CDCC.
He added, “Instead of blaming the previous Government, why the CADC MNF government is not doing anything for the poor conditions of roads of Kamalanagar town?”.
In this regard, the CDCC asks the ruling MNF Government the following points:
1. An amount of Rs. 10 crores were sanctioned for repair/black topping of the Kamalanagar town road during the previous Executive Committee headed by former MNF CEM, Shri Rasik Mohan Chakma (Source: website: I&PR Deptt., CADC). Where was the amount of Rs.10 cores utilized?
2. In the meeting Mr. Durjya Dhan Chakma asked for additional fund for the completion of the CADC Secretariat building, whereas, the amount of Rs. 8 crores were already sanctioned for the CADC Secretariat Building and Rs. 3 crores for the CADC Session Hall Building (Source: website: I&PR Deptt., CADC). CDCC demands accountability from the ruling MNF Government regarding the utilization of the sanctioned amounts for the Secretariat Building and the Session Hall Building.
CDCC seeks a clarification regarding the alleged embezzlement of public funds by the political leaders that are currently a part of the Executive Committee of the MNF Government led by CEM Shri Durjya Dhan Chakma. “Instead of taking action against those corrupted leaders in his Executive Committee, why the MNF Government of CADC that is headed by CEM Durjya Dhan Chakma is blaming the Congress”, questioned Ramani Chakma, President, CDCC.
