Former District President of National Peoples Party (NPP) joins Congress with 270 supporters in CADC

Kamalanagar, 15th Sep 2022: Dangu Doya Moy Daveng Chakma, former District President, National Peoples Party (NPP, Mizoram) along with 270 voters from 64 families joined INC from ruling MNF and BJP from Rengkhasya MDC Constituency during a short induction programme held at the premises of Congress Bhawan Kamalanagar today.


Dangu Chisaw Chakma, former District President, CDBJP, and former State executive member, BJP Mizoram and former active member of CDMNF also joined INC.


Several Unit Presidents of MNF, and elected Village Council members from the ruling MNF and BJP are among the new joinees.


Doya Moy Daveng Chakma before joining INC, contested in the Mizoram General Assembly, 2018 from 36 - Tuichawng ST constituency from NPP Mizoram.



In his speech, he also mentioned that his ultimate aim in politics is to work for the people of CADC through the INC platform. He also believes that the existing Congress Team in CADC are made up of highly educated youths under the guidance of experienced political leadership who have the potential to bring positive change in CADC.


He has also assured a sum of ₹50,000/- (Fifty thousand rupees) as contribution to the CDCC Fund.


The President and the Senior Adviser to CDCC expressed their happiness for getting him into the party and welcome them wholeheartedly in the Congress family. He also stated that 'ache din is coming for Congress in CADC' and the aim of Congress is 'BJP and MNF mukt CADC '.
