Former Yuva Morcha President of BJP joins Congress in Chakma Autonomous District Council in Mizoram.

Mr. D. Jonjil Chakma, former District President of Bharatiya Janata Juva Morcha of CADC joined into Congress Party today on 24th Feb 2021. He has submitted his joining letter to Mr Ramani Chakma, President of Chakma District Congress Committee at Kamalanagar, head quarter of Chakma District Council in Mizoram this morning. Mr. D. Jonjil Chakma, popularly known as Pulu among the youths had recently resigned from the BJP due to internal party differences with the present party leadership. It is a huge blow to the Bharatiya Janata Party in Chakma Autonomous District Council in Mizoram. Many top level leaders have resigned from the central party recently. Mr Chakma was also the President of District School Education Board under the previous BJP Government in Chakma Automous District Council in the tenure of former CEM Mr. Shanti Jeevan Chakma. There is a change of wind in the Chakma Autonomous District Council, in Mizoram. The future prospects of Bharatiya Janata Party is rapidly diminishing in the state of Mizoram as it is losing its grip in its strongest hold in the Chakma dominated region of the state.

Several members of the Chakma community who had previously held posts at national, state and district levels in the BJP have recently resigned from the party and joined into Chakma District Congress Committee. The youths are inspired by the leadership of Mr Ramani Chakma, President of CDCC. More and more youths are seeing great hope in the Indian National Congress under his leadership.
