CDCC Observed Birth Anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi

Kamalanagar, Mizoram: The CDCC observed Birth Anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi on 20th August 2019 at Congress Bhawan in Kamalanagar. Several members of the CDCC including Mahila Congress and Youth Congress have participated in the celebration.
Mr. Ramani Chakma, President, CDCC while addressing said, “I still remember when Rajiv Gandhi came to Mizoram in 1986 and came to Lunglei by driving himself from Aizawl”. He also said, “During his PM tenure the District Council has gained lots of power including the Sixth Schedule Amendment by giving more power. He further said by his good governance the country has developed lots with the modern technology".

Mr. Lokesh Chakma, President, CDYCC has told the detail life story of Rajiv Gandhi since his childhood. He said “Rajiv Gandhi was not the only the youngest PM in India but also a visionary Leader in modern India. This is the reason he is known as the ‘Father of Modern Technology in Modern India’." he added.

CDCC Team called on the Governor of Mizoram

Kamalanagar, Mizoram: The CDCC team including the Shri Adikanta Tongchangya, Adviser, CDCC, and Smt. Bimalini Chakma, President, CDMCC, Shri Lokesh Chakma, President, CDYCC , Shri Rajesh Chakma, General Secretary, CDCC, Shri Bog Bono Kumar, General Secretary, CDCC and Shri Samar Bijoy Chakma, Dy. Chief Organiser, CDCC called on the Governor of Mizoram at CADC rest house Kamalanagar on his maiden visit.

The team has submitted a petition seeking necessary intervention on the ongoing eviction issue in Lunglei district.

CDCC Extended Financial Support to the VLTF to Fight Covid-19 through SDO Chawngte

Kamalanagar, Mizoram: The Chakma District Congress Committee extended financial support to the Village Level Task Force (VLTF) to fight against Covid-19 through the Sub-Divisional Officer, Chawngte.

CDCC OBSERVED GANDHI JAYANTI ON HIS 151ST BIRTH ANNIVERSARY
2nd October, 2020
Kamalanagar, Mizoram: The Chakma District Congress Committee has observed the 151st Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at the premises of Congress Bhawan, Kamalanagar by following the guidelines of Covid-19 Government order. On this auspicious day, 84 Families have joined Congress from various villages under Chakma Autonomous District Council. Dangu Nikhil Chakma (Graduate) s/o Jagadish Chandra of Futsury along with 21 families joined the INC from Rengkashya MDC Constituency.
Dangu Victor Talukdar s/o (L) Dangu Nitya Ranjan Talukdar of Kamalanagar-I, a senior BJP worker and Social Activist has also joined the Congress Party. Before, he joined the party, he was holding the portfolios of National Social Media incharge of BJP ST Morcha and Delhi State incharge of National BJP ST Morcha and also contested under the BJP in the Mizoram General Assembly Election in 2013.

Victor Talukdar appointed as a General Secretary of CDCC

Kamalanagar, Mizoram: Dangu Victor Talukdar s/o (L) Dangu Nitya Ranjan Talukdar of Kamalanagar-I, has been appointed as General Secretary of Chakma District Congress Committee. He will be in-charge of media department of CDCC.

Chakma district Youth Congress Committee Condemns the illegal Economic Blockade by Assam

Kamalanagar, Mizoram: The Chakma District Youth Congress Committee condemns the incident at the Mizoram- Assam border. In the press release the President said, “ The economic blockade by the few group of Bengali miscreants is illegal and against the constitution of India which directly violate the basic human rights and urge the Assam Government not to bow down to some Bengali miscreants who are creating the atmosphere of animosity between the two states of Assam and Mizoram.

He also strongly demanded the present MNF government headed by Pu Zoramthanga, Chief Minister of Mizoram to resolve this border dispute permanently as early as possible with the Assam and central Government and as a resident of Mizoram he feels solidarity with all the people of Mizoram” in the press statement he added.

Arun Bikash Chakma joins Congress

Kamalanagar, Mizoram: Former MLA and senior leader, Shri Arun Bikash Chakma resigned from Mizo National Front and joined Chakma District Congress at Kamalanagar-I on 16th Nov 2020. Congress party workers are greatly motivated due to the joining of the senior leader and extend a very warm welcome to Shri Arun Bikash Chakma.
